Passport Application
When applying for a passport for the first time, you must apply in person using form DS-11. When renewing your passport, you may renew it by mail using form DS-82, as long as you meet all 5 requirements. All forms and additional information can be found here.
You should allow up to 8 weeks to receive your passport. Expedited processing can be done within 2-3 weeks for an additional fee. Below are the Application and Execution fees for routine processing.
